Chet Price

Chet Price grew up on Southern Gospel music going to all-night sings with the Blackwood Brothers and Statesman Quartets.  It is no surprise that he has enjoyed singing in quartets starting his junior high years.  Though he has a wide vocal range, he sings bass for the "Riders of the Cross" and enjoys delivering the Gospel message through the musical choices of the group.

Larry Jensen

Larry Jensen, on keys and high harmonies, calls Wichita his home and is well known in the regional music scene as a freelance keyboardist, singer and arranger/composer.

Just recently coming off a five year stint with his country western band, Larry now spends most of his time working with Christian music.  You will also see Larry doing local theater or solo piano work, but the greatest joy he has is playing and singing about the greatest subject ever: the Lord Jesus Christ and His wonder grace plan for everyone who believes!

Singing Southern Gospel music with the Prairie Rose Riders for the Cross is both a rewarding challenge and a near-guilty pleasure because one just shouldn’t have so much fun from just harmonizing and playing music.

Kris Johnson

Kris Johnson is a lifelong resident of Kansas, currently residing in Rose Hill with his wife Jonell and their five children, Cody, Holton, Josie, Loryn, and Bowen.

After a decade of touring with The Southern Gospel Quartet Forgiven, out of Bartlesville, OK and the Calvary Echoes here in Wichita, he has decided to hang up his traveling shoes.  Being a long time fan of the old “singing cowboy” and the Christian family morals which they represent, making the move to the Prairie Rose was easy.

His unique vocal style, along with his good grasp of harmony, makes him a strong asset to the Riders for the Cross.  His spirit and enthusiasm for God’s work combined with his “Kansas twang” makes for a perfect fit.

Mark Loggan

Born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas, Mark Loggan started performing Gospel music at eight years old.  Coming from parents who were involved in a Gospel ministry, Mark’s opportunity to sing and play various instruments was evident. This was just a stepping stone towards starting his own ministry.  He relocated to the Wichita area and continued to play Gospel music with numerous local groups and through churches he attended.  In recent years, Mark started writing and recording as well.  He has four boys from 11 years to 20 years old and his wife’s name is Sharon.   He also runs his own construction company and specializes in interior woodworking.  Being a part of the Riders for the Cross is a blessing to Mark and when you come and hear their inspirational  performance, they will be a blessing to you as well.
